Bond's New Q May Join Spielberg's Robopocalypse

Soon to be seen as the new "Q" in the next James Bond film Skyfall, British actor Ben Whishaw may play a techie of a very different sort in Steven Spielberg's next film, Robopocalypse.

Variety reports that Whishaw, also appearing in this fall's Cloud Atlas, is "at the top of DreamWorks' list since the casting process began to play a hacker named Lurker." No formal offer has been made yet, though.

This report comes on the heels of the news that Anne Hathaway is in talks to play the female lead opposite Chris Hemsworth and that former 20th Century Fox boss Tom Rothman has come aboard to produce the adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's book.

Robopocalypse is set to open April 25, 2014.

Boondock Saints 3 Happening?

Norman Reedus is best known as The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon these days, but Boondock Saints fans will always think of the actor as Murphy MacManus. And now Reedus says a third film in that cult fave series could be happening.

In an interview with IFC, Reedus said that the film is "definitely in the works." He then added, "Look for it. It's gonna be crazy." He also noted that he was meeting with costar Sean Patrick Flanery and writer-director Troy Duffy that same night.

IFC adds that there's no script yet, but still -- 10 years passed between the first film and the second. Compared to that, these guys are way ahead of the game for Part 3.

Breaking Bad's Mike Heads to Parks and Rec

"Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James."

Some fun news here as HitFix's Alan Sepinwall is reporting that actor Jonathan Banks, who we all just saw this Summer stealing many-a-scene as Mike on AMC's Breaking Bad, will be guest starring on NBC's Parks and Recreation.

In Season 5, Banks will play Ben's (Adam Scott) dad.  Also, on the same episode, Glenne Headly (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) will portray Ben's mom.

Parks and Rec co-creator Mike Schur told Sepinwall, "We were working the character description of Ben's dad and I said aloud, 'He should act like Mike Ehrmentraut.'"  From there, it was decided that they should just try to get Jonathan Banks himself. "To me, at this exactly moment in time, he's everyone I know's favorite actor," Schur added.

One of those fans includes Retta (plays Donna on Parks) who tweeted about her excitement earlier today.

Season 5 of Parks and Recreation premieres on Thursday, September 20th at 9:30 p.m. on NBC.
