Maxie New scored four times Wednesday and reached the 100-goal mark in Clayton's 6-0 victory at Salem in a Tri-County Conference girls' soccer match.

"There's not many girls nowadays who can score on a consistent basis," Clayton coach Chris Baker said. "I think she's scored in every game for us so far this year."

New took a pass 12 yards from the net, dribbled past defenders, and sent the ball in off the far post for her fourth goal and the 100th of her career.

"She's the complete package," Baker said. "She has speed, ball skills, and a rocket of a shot with both legs."

In other Tri-County Conference play, Lauren Wilson's second-half goal lifted Gloucester Catholic to a 1-0 win over visiting Woodstown. Lisette Virella made 10 saves to pick up the shutout.
