Finding the Perfect Wedding Venue in Las Vegas

By Hedrick Lepsch

There are many people that picture Las Vegas weddings as a drunken decision that the bride and groom will never remember. Contrary to popular belief, there are many Las Vegas weddings that are well planned and well executed.

No matter how beautiful the location, or how luxurious the circumstances, if your venue can't hold your expected number of guests, both you and they will be miserable. Get a generous estimate before you reserve a place. You can always afford to have too much room. Too little is stuffy and uncomfortable.

You may even see yourself eloping. When you decide on a vision that you are happy with, you will be able to ascertain specific details that are going to make a difference in the wedding venue that you choose to select for your big day.

When you are looking for the best place to have a reception, you may want to talk with your wedding venue to see if there are any reception centers in the same area. As you are looking through the different reception centers you should keep your guest list in mind.

Indoor places are more commonly decorated in a modern way. Guests are often enchanted with long draping cloths, beautiful colors and modern art. Moving in a lot of plants and natural vegetation is very messy work. Most venues won't allow you to incorporate these elements without special permission or extra fees.

After you have cut down your list according to the size of the venue that you will need, you will then want to start looking at pictures of each of the venues. There are many classic wedding venues in Vegas but there are also a wide variety of eclectic venues.

As you are developing your plan for the reception, do not be afraid to walk away from a venue because it is too expensive. While you are deciding between different venues, take your time to compare the pros and the cons of the venues.

Of course they came to see you first and foremost, but they realize that they will not get to spend much quality time with you. So many of your beloved friends and family will come to see you that you simply won't have time to have meaningful, lengthy conversations with any one of them.

After you find a few venues that you can picture yourself being married in, call to talk about availability. Often times, brides will find that they have to be flexible with their venue of choice or with their date of choice.

Throughout your reception, you should understand what is and is not allowed in the reception hall that you have chosen. You will want your security deposit back and you should make sure that your guests are also going to follow your rules.

You can work with your venue on decoration ideas and needs. The best advice for decorations is finding a venue that fits your needs. If you want complete control, find a venue that will let you have that. If you want someone else to do it, you can find one of those too.
